This Summer at Art-A-Fair: A Journey of Connection and Creativity

An Inspiring Experience

This summer at Art-A-Fair was nothing short of inspiring. What began as an exciting opportunity to show my work turned into a season of deep connection, community, and creative discovery.

My booth at Laguna Beach Art a Fair

I shared pieces from three different series: Prolific, Zero Rules, and Portraits. Each series offered visitors a glimpse into the various ways I approach abstraction. A few standouts included Girl in Green, Muse Lounge, and Back to Black. Each painting seemed to spark its own conversation. I was encouraged to hear people share what they saw and felt in the work.

A Sense of Family

One of the highlights for me was the sense of family that formed among the artists. My dear friends Debbie and Dave had their booths next to mine. Wonderful neighbors like Eva, Martine, Sandra, and Carrie surrounded us. Together, we created a little “village” of support. We cheered each other on through the long days and celebrated each sale, each kind word, and each moment of recognition.

While Walking Straight Into Circles wasn’t on display this time, I loved seeing how the other works connected with viewers. Hearing their personal interpretations reminded me why I paint in the first place. I paint to invite others into the story, to let them see themselves in the colors and shapes.

Looking Ahead

Although I won’t be showing at La Quinta this fall, I may be returning for Palm Springs Modernism Week in February 2026. This is still in the works! In the meantime, I’m carrying forward the energy, encouragement, and friendships from this Art-A-Fair season into the next chapter of my creative journey.

The Power of Art
