She’s all dressed up in her blue spiral fascinator and pearls, but her mind is somewhere else. I imagined her as the woman who sees things clearly, the hard realities, the worries she can’t quite shake, and carries them quietly behind that little netted veil.
 
My portraits have a life of their own—more detailed, more time-intensive, and often the first to sell. Because of the time and detail involved, portraits are priced slightly higher than my other work and released in small batches.
